Cameron Brink and the Los Angeles Sparks outpaced Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings on Friday night, earning a hard-fought 97-96 win behind seven rebounds from the standout forward.

Bueckers, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, entered Friday with 141 assists and needed just two to pass Odyssey Sims ' record of 142 set in 2014 when the franchise was known as the Tulsa Shock. It didn't take long for Bueckers to take care of business.

The Dallas Wings have played in two close games this week, and on Friday found themselves on the wrong side of a nailbiter. The Wings lost their 25th game of the season as the Los Angeles Sparks (16-17) claimed a 97-96 victory and an 0-2 series lead at College Park Center.
