Alysa Liu brought down the house with her free skating, her electric performance rocketing her to winning gold at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

There was a lot of pressure on U.S. figure skater Alysa Liu heading into the free skate on Thursday night. The 20-year-old was Team USA’s last hope of an individual gold medal in figure skating after disappointing results from both the women and the men.

Great Britain’s men scraped into the curling semi-finals on Thursday to keep their medal hopes alive, but the women fell agonisingly short after the curling round robin stage at the Winter Olympics 2026.

McAvoy, Swayman, Jokiharju and Korpisalo are all still in the running for an Olympic medal ahead of Friday’s semifinal meetings. The gold-medal game is scheduled for Sunday at 8:10 a.m. ET; the bronze-medal game will be on Saturday at 2:40 p.m. ET.

"Milan has been very nice, and the people have been very hospitable. I'm walking everywhere, some people recognize me as the world's greatest curler, and some people have no idea who I am," said Shaq, laughing. When asked which winter sport he would compete in, the Big Diesel had two picks in mind.

Coco Gauff continues to show in winter sports with the current Olympic Games ongoing in Milano-Cortina. Gauff is rooting for two Winter Olympians in particular, and she has also named two tennis players she thinks could do well at the Games.
