After spending more than a year attempting to purchase the club from previous owner Jason Whittingham, new owners Panjab Warriors set out to make an immediate impression on Morecambe in their first hours in charge.

Morecambe have confirmed that wages will be paid by Wednesday as it begins a new era under the ownership of Panjab Warriors.

Morecambe’s takeover by Panjab Warriors has been formally confirmed by former owners Bond Group Investments. It comes after months of financial turmoil and the risk of "immediate closure". A meeting of the league's Club Compliance and Licensing committee was held on Sunday (August 17) where the takeover of the club was formally approved.
