A St. Louis man adopted through Catholic Charities nearly 60 years ago learned his biological father is Doobie Brothers singer Michael McDonald.

“The real rock stars in this story for us are his adopted parents, who really gave Michael everything that a child needs in terms of love and security,” the singer said.
