A team of MLS All-Stars is set to play a team of All-Stars from Mexico's LIGA MX in in Austin, Texas. The league revealed the final roster of MLS players on Wednesday afternoon and Messi, along with teammate Jordi Alba, were not included.

Lionel Messi and Telasco Segovia each scored twice, while Jordi Alba added a single marker as Inter Miami CF bounced back to form with a 5–1 win over the New York Red Bulls on Saturday night at Sports Illustrated Stadium in New Jersey.

It was a brilliant ex-Barcelona build-up. Alba heads the ball to Sergio Busquets, who slides Messi through on goal, and he rounds the goalkeeper for Miami's fourth. He didn't slow down, either. An assist from Luis Suarez was the magic touch for Messi to bag his second and earn his sixth brace in his last seven games.
