A former Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office employee and girlfriend of New Orleans jail escapee Derrick Groves is accused of aiding in the planning of the escape and setting up of phone calls where Groves discussed fleeing with a third party, according to police records.

A woman accused of helping escaped New Orleans inmate Derrick Groves was arrested Monday amid the ongoing search for him and fellow escapee Antoine Massey.

U.S Marshals arrested Darriana Burton, 28, the girlfriend of escaped inmate Derrick Groves, on Monday (June 9) as part of the ongoing investigation into the May 16 jailbreak at the Orleans Justice Center.
