The Chicago Bears held their first practice of training camp Wednesday morning, a shorter session that served as a reminder that football is back across the NFL. The Bears still have more than two weeks before their first preseason game and 47 days until the curtain lifts for them in the regular season.
Braxton Jones, who's been the starter for the past three seasons, will face competition from rookie Ozzy Trapilo and second-year pro Kiran Amegadjie. Jones is recovering from a fractured fibula suffered at the end of last season, but you'd still assume the incumbent starter has the edge in the battle.
Jaquan Brisker, Tyrique Stevenson and Tremaine Edmunds are some of the players to watch during camp at Halas Hall.
