A Powerball ticket purchased at a Bay Area tobacco shop is worth $677,821, California lottery officials confirmed Monday night. The ticket matched five of the six winning numbers in the July 21 drawing - just one number shy of the $309 million jackpot.

In December 2014 the store sold a Daily Derby lottery ticket worth $409,720. The store could not immediately be reached for comment. Monday’s winner has 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize. Powerball is played Monday, Wednesday and Saturday nights. Wednesday’s jackpot will be a minimum of $325 million.
