South Korea's acting President Han Duck-soo called on Thursday for talks with U.S. officials to shield the export-reliant economy from the impact of U.S. tariffs and ordered emergency support measures for businesses.

SEOUL (Reuters) - South Korea's interim leader Han Duck-soo called on the nation on Wednesday to accept any decision from the Constitutional Court on impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol in a calm manner. Han said he "strongly asked" politicians not to make any comments that could incite violence.

A motion to impeach former-acting President Choi Sang-mok was reported at the National Assembly on Wednesday, in the latest move by the main opposition party to hold top officials in the Yoon Suk Yeol administration to account.
