According to the SWPC’s aurora viewline forecast, the aurora borealis will be visible in parts of Washington state, Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, the Dakotas, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.

All of Washington state is inside NOAA's forecasted "view line" for the aurora borealis on Nov. 12. The view line represents the southernmost regions in the United States where the northern lights may be seen on the northern horizon, according to the agency.
