A judge has blocked the grand jury transcripts in the case of paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein from being released.

President Donald Trump was told in May by Attorney General Pam Bondi that his name appeared multiple times in Department of Justice documents about sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Trump had sought the release of documents after days of sustained pressure from some of his most loyal supporters.

A federal appeals court opened the door to the release of some documents related to Jeffrey Epstein in a civil case brought by a victim of the disgraced financier.

On Wednesday, a federal judge denied a request to unseal grand jury transcripts from he investigation into Epstein.
