Tommy Fleetwood is once again at the top of the leaderboard at a big event going into the weekend, as the Englishman continues his pursuit of that elusive first PGA Tour win. Fleetwood fired a second round 63 to reach 13 under and take the solo lead at the midway point of the Tour Championship.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler entered Friday's second round of the Tour Championship in prime position, but now has work to do if he wants another FedEx Cup.

That is what makes his position at the Tour Championship so intriguing. With a round of 63 on Friday, Fleetwood moved into a share of the lead at East Lake and is halfway to claiming not only his first PGA Tour title but also the $10 million FedEx Cup prize.

The first two rounds at East Lake also gave Fleetwood a career-high aggregate scoring tie, with a total of 127 strokes. It's a mark he achieved just two weeks ago at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, where he also led after 36 holes.

Keegan Bradley is in the hunt for his first FedEx Cup at the Tour Championship, but his mind is elsewhere with the Ryder Cup looming.

Fleetwood shot 63 Friday at East Lake while Henley had a 66. Both are at 13 under par and two shots clear of Cameron Young (62) entering the weekend.
