CLEVELAND, Ohio — A strong band of thunderstorms is heading into Northeast Ohio Sunday night and could generate winds up to 50 mph. The National Weather Service issued a statement at about 10:40 p.m. saying radar shows the storms stretched along a line from near Euclid to North Royalton to Lodi.

The NWS confirmed that four tornadoes touched down on Sunday as thunderstorms swept through parts of the state.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A major storm is centered over the Nebraska - Iowa border this morning and will track near the Minneapolis area later this afternoon. A big severe weather outbreak is predicted in the warm sector of this storm.

Central Ohio might see its first severe thunderstorms of 2025 with large hail and tornadoes possible, according to the National Weather Service.
