LAS VEGAS – Mark Armstrong and Judah Mintz combined for 43 points while Philadelphia forced 20 turnovers to fuel the 76ers’ 87-83 comeback win over the Brooklyn Nets in an NBA 2K26 Summer League consolation game at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas on Friday.

After a down year for the 2024 NBA rookie class, during which second-rounder Bronny James was the most anticipated draft pick to play in the NBA summer league in Las Vegas, the excitement was back earlier this month as No. 1 pick Cooper Flagg and other top selections from the touted 2025 class took the court with their new teams.

Unlike Kolek, who played in the first four of New York’s summer league games, Dadiet’s experience was cut short due to a left foot sprain suffered late in Game 2. Dadiet was wearing a walking boot after the injury.

Fears, the No. 7 overall pick in the 2025 NBA draft, netted 22 points for the New Orleans Pelicans in Las Vegas. Cody Williams, the 10th overall selection in 2024, also shined with 26 points for the Utah Jazz. Jeremiah Fears ended his Summer League slate on a high with 22 points in a defeat to the Indiana Pacers.

While Flagg looked good with the ball in his hands, he looked better playing off it, and that will be more of his role in Dallas where D’Angelo Russell in the short term and Kyrie Irving long term (once healthy), not to mention Anthony Davis, will facilitate the offense most of the time.

The Dallas Mavericks made the not-so-surprising decision to shut downCooper Flagg earlier this month following his second game of NBA Las Vegas Summer League. Two starts was more than enough for management to see that Flagg is ready to go as a rookie and projected impact player in the Mavericks' lineup.

If the Nuggets don’t offer the former Iowa State star Curtis Jones a 2-way contract, then some other NBA team sure as heck will.

The Chicago Bulls wrapped up their Summer League run on a high note Friday, earning a 105-92 win over the Utah Jazz to finish with a 3-2 record in Las Vegas.
