Which brings us to Pro Football Focus and their assessments of the San Francisco 49ers’ 2025 draft class. On the one hand, PFF graded the 49ers draft as a “D.” On the other hand, PFF released a top ten rookie class rankings by their three-year college PFF grades.

Headlining the 49ers’ draft was Mykel Williams, an edge rusher out of Georgia who was the 11th overall pick. In day two, the Niners continued to bolster their defensive line, selecting defensive tackle Alfred Collins out of Texas followed by the selection of linebacker Nick Martin out of Oklahoma State and Upton Stout out of Western Kentucky.

The San Francisco 49ers added 11 players in the 2025 NFL Draft. Yet, if they had gotten their way, the 49ers would have traded up to land one of the very top prospects on their draft board, likely reducing their amount of draft selections.
