A Red Flag Warning is in effect for most of North Carolina and South Carolina through Saturday due to the increased threat of wildfires across the region. The National Weather Service issued the warning on Friday afternoon.

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for southeast NC from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on March 22. The warning means areas across the Cape Fear region will see a combination of gusty winds (around 25 mph) and extremely low humidity levels (less than 25 %).

A Red Flag Warning is in effect across parts of the Carolinas on Saturday as critical fire weather conditions move in.
