Viterbo University student Eliotte Heinz's body was found in the Mississippi River after disappearing in La Crosse, prompting grief and renewed safety concerns in the college town.

Eliotte Heinz, a 22-year-old graduate student in Wisconsin was found dead on Wednesday after going missing over the weekend, officials said.

The graduate student at Viterbo University was last seen in downtown La Crosse around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, according to the La Crosse Police Department.
