Some Microsoft Rewards users are receiving official emails indicating an upcoming price increase for Xbox Game Pass redemptions.

Given the game went number one on Steam last week, it sounds like Avowed has sold rather well then, despite being included in Xbox Game Pass on day one. Game Pass is only applicable for the Xbox and Microsoft Store PC versions though - Steam users would have to purchase the game, and purchase it they seem to have done.

So, sure, GamePass is reasonably successful for what it is — but it definitely hasn’t changed the world like Netflix did to Hollywood. People are still mostly buying new games, sometimes even still on a disc from Best Buy or Walmart. Streaming a game to your phone or TV over the cloud remains pretty niche.

Microsoft has announced its line-up of Xbox Game Pass titles for the latter half of February. This begins with Avowed, which Microsoft also noted down in its list for the first half of the month too. Hmm! Otherwise, there's a thin selection of other titles on offer. Well, you're probably still playing with your fungus hero anyway.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass get EA Sports F1 24 on February 2024. Standard tier and up subscribers get Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader on February 20 and Watch Dogs: Legion on February 25.
