A jury in Tuscaloosa today found Michael Davis guilty of capital murder for shooting and killing Jamea Harris near the Strip more than two years ago. The jury deliberated for about an hour before announcing the verdict in a courtroom in downtown Tuscaloosa on Friday afternoon.

A trial adjacent to the upcoming trial of former Alabama basketball player Darius Miles is now with the jury. Arguments in the Michael Lynn Davis murder trial from the January 2023 shooting of Jamea Harris in Tuscaloosa were completed Friday morning.
