Former Jets defensive end Gerry Philbin has died at age 83, the team announced Wednesday. A third-round pick in the 1964 AFL draft out of the University of Buffalo, Philbin won the Super Bowl with the Jets in 1969. The cause of death was dementia, his family told ESPN.
