A recent transfer portal visitor to Iowa basketball opted for another Big Ten destination. Former Drake and DePaul guard Conor Enright announced his commitment to the Indiana Hoosiers on Wednesday, reuniting Enright with his former head coach at Drake in new Indiana head coach Darian DeVries.
Enright’s value as a power conference point guard is his passing ability, with a 37.8 assist rate that put him 16th nationally. He averaged 6.2 assists per game last year with DePaul, a big uptick from the 3.2 per game he averaged at Drake.
Enright, who played for Darian DeVries when the latter was at Drake, was among the first named linked to the program this offseason. He averaged 7.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 6.2 assists in 30.1 minutes per game this past season with the Blue Demons.

Enright started all 33 games he appeared in during the 2023-24 campaign and averaged 6.9 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. His 3-point shooting percentage improved to 43.9 percent (on 98 attempts) and he had the 11th-best assist rate in the MVC at 21.3 percent.
