Longtime Jayhawks men's basketball coach Bill Self received of pair of stents during a heart procedure after experiencing "some concerning symptoms."

Kansas head basketball coach Bill Self was hospitalized on Thursday, July 24th, with “concerning symptoms” but is expected to make a full recovery.    Kansas Athletics released this statement:  “Kansas men’s basketball coach Bill Self felt unwell and experienced some concerning symptoms Thursday.

Kansas basketball coach Bill Self had two stents inserted into his heart to treat blocked arteries Thursday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital after he "felt unwell and experienced some concerning symptoms.
