New York Yankees starting shortstop Anthony Volpe received a major update after suffering a recent injury scare. While the reigning Pennant winners are off to an uneven start, they are still in first place in the AL East.

Though not out of the woods yet, the MRI and X-ray tests came back negative on Anthony Volpe's shoulder after the shortstop endured a scary injury during Saturday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. Yankees manager Aaron Boone provided an update after Volpe was held out of the lineup Sunday.
