Austin Metcalf's last social media post has been revealed after he was allegedly stabbed in the heart by Karmelo Anthony
The attorney for Karmelo Anthony, the 17-year-old accused of murdering football star Austin Metcalf at a Texas track meet, insists he doesn’t have “any reason” to think the killing “wasn’t in self defense” — and will request the teen’s bond be lowered from $1,000,000.
Karmelo Anthony remains in police custody on a $1 million bond in the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf.
Social media thinks Karmelo Anthony will not get a fair trial in Texas as the area has more white people than black people.
The teenager, a member of the track and field team and a linebacker in football, sent his final social media post at 11:46am on March 31, two days before his fatal death, where he wrote: "Faith that god got me and my work will pay off".
Anthony was arrested by Frisco Police Department officers at the scene after he left Metcalf to die in his twin brother's arm. The 17-year-old reportedly admitted to the crime in custody. NBC DFW cited an arrest warrant to report that the 17-year-old's first words were: “I’m not alleged, I did it. I was protecting myself. He put his hands on me.”
The Texas football star fatally stabbed during a fight Wednesday talked about his reliance on faith to guide him to his goals in a tragic social media post days before his death.
